WWDC 2012 – Latest News On iOS6, Mountain Lion, Macbook Pro Retina, Dictation, Powernap, Passbook, Siri [VIDEO]

Apple announced some exciting Apple products and features at the World Wide developer conference here in San Francisco today (June 11, 2012).

Here are some of the Top 4 revelations at Apple’s WWDC 2012.

1. New Macbook Pro now has retina display. “World’s highest resolution notebook display.” It is also thinner, sans hard drive, faster with 2GHZ Core i7 processors and then Turbo Boosted to 3.2 GHz. The macbook pro ships today and is $2,199 (and up.)

2.Updated Operating system- The next Mac lion is Mountain Lion adds Dictation and Power Nap to “Keep your Mac up to date” (email, photos, calendar) “while it sleeps.” Unified searching with the Safari browser a-la chrome and syncs information between Apple products. Upgrading to mountain lion is available in July and costs $20.00

3. Ipad and iPhone will upgrade to the next operating system IOS 6 which will have over 200 improvements. Facetime will work on 3g network, instead of wireless only and there will be a deep intergration with Facebook. Passbook, a new feature, helps eliminate paper by loading boarding passes and concert tickets to your device. Apple is also ditching Google maps in favor of its own map feature. The do not disturb feature will allow more control by muting middle of the night dings from calls and emails.

4. Siri, the voice command functionality, now has the help of Yelp and rotten tomatoes so you can ask for restaurant or movie help. The new ipad will feature suri as well as a dedicated push button in some cars including GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover.
