Stanford University iOS 5 Programming Class Lecture Videos Now Available On iTunes

Back in March of this year, Stanford University Professor Paul Hegarty – who teaches the world famous ‘iPad and iPhone Application Development‘ iOS Programming class for making iPhone / iPad apps – promised to release the class lecture videos in November of this year.

The first episodes for this quarter’s iOS 5-based incarnation of CS193p should hit iTunesU in early November. Sorry for the delay! If you are about to start watching CS193p from a past quarter on iTunesU, you might want to wait until the current quarter’s videos are posted. Paul Hegarty Blog (Mar.26.2011)

Professor Hegarty made good on his promise and released the lecture videos on iTunes today!

  1. The introduction of ARC (Automatic Reference Counting) for better Memory Management and
  2. The introduction of Storyboards in the XCode (4.2) IDE for screen-design that succeeds the XIB files for User Interface design.
